Yes, and it is worth doing. A general home inspection covers the roof briefly and often from the ground.
We get on it whenever the pitch, the material and the conditions make that safe. Some steep or fragile roofs — aged cedar or tile in poor condition — are assessed from the edge and with photographs rather than by walking them, because walking them causes damage.

Material warranties are conditional on installation. Get the fastener pattern, the flashing detail or the ventilation wrong and the coverage behind the product is gone. We install to the published specification, so the warranty you paid for stays intact.
